Using this site

Hardwood Victoria operates the website at hardwoodvictoria.com. When you use this site or ask us for a quote, you are agreeing to the terms on this page. If any part does not work for you, please do not use the site or send us a request. We keep this short and plain on purpose. It is not legal advice, and it is not a contract for a specific job. Your job is covered by the written quote we send you.

The work we do

We arrange and provide hardwood floor refinishing for homeowners across Greater Victoria: recoats, full sand-backs, staining, board repair, and water-damage work. The work on your floors may be carried out by our own team or by qualified local tradespeople we engage and stand behind. Either way, Hardwood Victoria is your single point of contact from the first quote to the finished floor, and we are the ones answerable to you for the result. You do not have to chase anyone else.

Quotes and estimates

Any figures, price ranges, or examples on this website are general guidance to help you plan. They are not a quote and they are not a promise of price. Every floor is different, and the wood underneath tells us what the job really needs. Your actual price comes from a written quote after we look at your floors in person. No work starts, and nothing is owed, until you have that written quote and you approve it.

Workmanship

We do the work with reasonable skill and care, and we are straight with you about what your floors can and cannot take. Results on old or original wood can vary with the condition of the boards, past finishes, moisture, and wear, and we will tell you up front where we expect that. Any specific workmanship guarantee is whatever is written into the quote or contract for your particular job. This website does not add a separate warranty on top of that, and nothing on this page should be read as one.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law of British Columbia allows, our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you actually paid us for that job, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. This is a standard, reasonable limit and nothing here removes rights you have under British Columbia consumer protection law. Where BC law gives you a right we cannot limit, that law wins.

Privacy

When you fill out our quote form, we collect your name, the contact details you give us, and whatever you tell us about your floors and your project. We use that information for one thing: to reply to you and prepare your quote. Your form submission is sent to us as a lead so we can follow up with you. We do not sell your information and we do not share it beyond what we need to answer your request and, if you go ahead, to do the work. If you would like us to delete what you have sent, contact us through the quote form and ask.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always the one posted on this page, and using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada.
